How the Idea Came to Be

Farming Together to Feed Your Family

In unity, many of our first-year CSA members expressed the desire to obtain other locally raised foods in conjunction to their produce share. In year two we incorporated the a la carte menu that was beautiful in theory, but for a mulitude of reasons, didn’t pan out when logistics and reality clashed.  Together, Farmers Feeding Families came together with the help of Jeneen Wiche and Melissa Ballard.  These women, like myself get the idea that it makes sense to connect you (the consumer) and us (the producer) in as many ways as we can to feed all of our families.  With excitement and honor, we are working to offer you a multitude of amazing, freshly-produced items of quality—-all in a CSA model.  We will work collaboratively with fellow farmers in an effort to provide you an abundance of locally produced tastes that you can subscribe to once for the season, or monthly, as applicable.  We will keep you posted on our blog as to what’s coming up in the future, so we encourage you to watch that with anticipation. Also, at any time if a partner would like to purchase any item in bulk for preserving, entertaining, etc., please contact us directly for pricing.

Please understand that eating local may not always be the cheapest for a variety of reasons, but we can assure you that these farmers offer value. We know these folks, weʼve been to their farms. They are stewards of what they produce, the earth, and their resources. Your dollars will be supporting farm families.

Please note in order to subscribe to the bi-weekly Egg Laying Box, weekly Fruit Basket, or Pasture to Plate (as desired), you must also subscribe to a Planting, Tillage, or Harvest vegetable CSA share.
